Requesting a visit outside the current availability allows a licensed vet to review your request and try to accommodate your pet's needs

How it works
Urgent appointments are for situations where your pet is experiencing a sudden decline, visible pain, distress, or other time-sensitive end-of-life needs — and no standard appointment times are available.
These requests are most appropriate when care is needed same-day, but existing time slots don’t work or aren’t shown
No — this is not an emergency service.
Urgent requests are not designed for situations that require immediate intervention. If your pet is in critical distress, please contact a 24/7 emergency veterinary clinic.
Not immediately. Your request is sent to licensed veterinarians in your area. If one is able to help, they will reach out directly to discuss the proposed arrival time and any additional fees.
After you agree on the details, you will receive a booking link to confirm the appointment.
Response times can vary. Vets who offer flexible availability typically try to reach out as soon as they’re able — but they may be attending to other pet families or personal responsibilities before they can respond.
While many pet parents hear back within a few hours, we can’t guarantee a timeframe. We recommend continuing to explore other options until you’ve connected with a vet.
Yes, urgent appointments usually include an additional fee based on the time of day or night, your location, and the vet’s ability to accommodate. You’ll see all estimated costs before confirming your appointment.
Unfortunately, urgent appointments are not guaranteed bookings. If no vet is immediately available, your request stays open and visible to local providers — and we’ll notify you if someone is able to help.
In the meantime, we strongly recommend continuing your search for care. You can explore alternative in-home providers at: inhomepeteuthanasia.com
Yes. If a vet accepts your request, they’ll try to connect with you as soon as possible — often by text message for speed, or with a phone call when needed.
This allows you to confirm the proposed time and any added fees, and ask any questions before the booking link is sent.

Dr. Katie Todd was so kind and informative. She explained the process and answered all of our questions. Our sweet girl is at peace and out of pain and I couldn't have asked for a better experience for her.
Kind, caring, understanding, compassionate, patient and professional. These are just a few words to describe Dr. DuBose. She explained everything in detail about the entire process. She let us take our time deciding when to start, and when to move forward to the next step. She loved on Dixie like she was one of hers. She treated Dixie with care, love and respect. I have nothing bad to say about any of our experience with Dr. DuBose.
Dr. Thomason was so supportive and helpful during such an incredibly hard time. I can't say enough about what an amazing vet she is. RIP Lovely Lolita
We are so grateful that Dr. Courtney White was available to us, last minute nonetheless. We were able to say goodbye to our precious boy Radar in his favorite spot in our backyard. Dr. White was so kind and compassionate, explaining the process as it progressed, allowing us to make the decisions we could. She truly understood the bond we had with our boy. We will cherish the memory of him forever ❤️
M y prayers for my sweet aging pup Trixie always included a request that God continue to grant her a peaceful life and when the time came a perfect end. Dr. Bruker’s compassion for animals and their owners, and respect for the moment at hand was evident from the instant he arrived at our home, knelled down on the floor to Trixie, and quickly befriended her. His process was unobtrusive and gentle and gave us time to love her, assure her, and say goodbye to her. She passed calmly and peacefully. Thank you Dr. Bruker for respectfully and compassionately bringing Trixie’s long life to that perfect end.
Jessica was so patient, compassionate, and gracious during a very difficult time. She explained everything thoroughly and made sure that we were in agreement with every step of the process. She spoke to our Gus as if she knew him and how special he was.
