Verified Veterinarian
Our pets become our beloved family members. After helping hundreds of families through end-of-life decisions in the emergency setting, I became experienced in being able to develop relationships with owners during times of stress (often times unexpected) and grieving. It was during my time in emergency that I realized the profound impact that the hospital environment plays into the end-of-life experience for not only the families but their pets as well. As a pet parent myself, I made the decision to leave ER and transition to practicing in-home euthanasia full time in order to fulfill my passion of providing a more serene experience for both the pet and the family members.

Dr. Poole was very professional and compassionate in helping us say goodbye to our boy. Our choice for in-home euthenasia was the best one for us, especially given the often busy nature of our regular vet clinic. Her assistance and calm manner made his passing more peaceful for all of us.
Dr. Poole was kind, calming, and reassuring. She seemed to genuinely care about both our kitty and us. I would recommend her to others in a heartbeat. When the time comes for our other baby to pass, we would love to have Dr. Poole come out again.
Dr. Poole was supportive and a great presence as we said goodbye to our dog. She listened to our stories about him and patiently and clearly explained each step of the process. We knew exactly what to expect and she was just a really lovely person to have there, as well as a great vet. We are very appreciative of her skills and support.
Two weeks ago, Dr. Poole provided in-home euthanasia for my cat, and I am deeply grateful for her care and compassion during such a difficult time. She was incredibly professional, gentle, and kind. What meant the most to me was how clearly she explained each step of the process, so I knew exactly what to expect. That gave me the time and emotional preparation I needed, and helped me feel a sense of calm despite how hard the moment was. She treated my cat with great respect and dignity, and her empathy truly made a difference. Thank you, Dr. Poole for helping Mono leave this world peacefully.
Dr. Poole was beyond wonderful. In such an emotionally difficult situation, she could not have been a more calming presence. She was so empathetic to the loss we were feeling. She was super patient and kind throughout the process. I would so highly recommend her to anyone making the difficult end of life decision for their pet.
When the time came to say goodbye to our beloved Jazzy, we were comforted beyond words by Dr. Poole and her gentle care. She came to our home and treated our sweet girl with such tenderness, respect, and compassion that the experience—though deeply emotional—felt peaceful and dignified. Dr. Poole took time to explain every step, making sure we felt prepared and supported. Her calm presence and empathy allowed our sweet girl to pass comfortably in familiar surroundings, surrounded by love. It was clear she truly cared, both for our pet and for us as grieving owners. We’re so grateful for the comfort she provided on one of the hardest days of our extremely difficult day. Dr. Poole's service is a gift to families facing loss, and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who wants their pet’s final moments to be handled with grace and compassion.
