Verified Veterinarian
I became a veterinarian because I believe it is our responsibility as humans to care for animals who don't have a voice or much of a choice in their lives. Whether it's a wild animal, a farm animal, or a pet, we humans impact their environment and what happens to them. My mission is to make every animal I care for feel loved and safe in any situation. Throughout my career, I have had to euthanize many animals, which is never an easy thing to do. During this difficult task, I have developed a way to focus all my love and attention on the life of the animal, not the euthanasia. So that in this challenging situation, the animal feels safe and loved during this peaceful passing, and the owners feel at peace with the decision that has been made.

Dr. Mitchell was wonderful. She was very caring with our pet and our family durning a difficult time. I would highly recommend Dr. Mitchell.
Dr. Cara was incredibly compassionate, professional, and caring! She cried with us, prayed with us and thoroughly explained everything to us! What a fabulous job she did at a time when we really needed her.
Dr Cara Mitchell was so compassionate and very helpful through out the process she arrived in a very timely manner she even stayed for the burial i highly recommend her services
Letting go of our family pets is one of the most difficult decisions and Dr Mitchell made it feel so spiritual and her compassion for my family was felt by all of us. When she shed a tear for our precious Scout, we all knew we would never forget her—we won’t. Thank you, Cara!
Great service on a terrible day. Very professional and kind. She let us reschedule to get one more day with our dog. She let us take our time during the Appt and even gave us a print of his paw as a keepsake. I would recommend this service to anyway having to go through this.
I highly recommend Dr. Cara Mitchel for home visits. It was time for my sweet boy, Eli, to go and I couldn’t bear taking him to the veterinary hospital. This way and the under loving care and expertise of Dr. Cara, Eli passed in peace in his home with all of his loved ones. Thank you and bless you, Dr. Cara Mitchell. Debbie DeCosta
