I have always had a strong love for animals, combined with a fascination for science and problem solving I knew becoming a Veterinarian was my calling. After serving countless pets over the years, my professional interest has evolved into a desire to provide a source of help in the times most pets and their owners need it the most. I strive to provide the most compassionate, peaceful, and stress-free experience possible. Having seen way too many pets suffer or experience stress in their last moments, my goal is to help provide relief while ensuring your pet experiences the utmost love and comfort as they pass in the comfort of their own home.

Our fifteen-year-old Aussie had lost the use of his rear legs and was confused and struggling. And as much as we hoped he would be okay on a gut level we knew it was his time. We had called five or six vets and all of them were overbooked and seemingly indifferent to what we were going through. They all referred us to emergency vet clinics that stated they had no appointment system and they would get to us when they could. Our boy deserved better. Admittedly, I had never heard of in home pet euthanasia but anything seemed like a better option than sitting in a cold, sterile examination room. Our boy hated going to the vet and I didn't want his last moments to be filled with fear. Using CodaPet's website I made a same-day appointment for that afternoon. Dr. Christina Vernon did an outstanding job of comforting us in the most troubling of circumstances. She was on-time, kind, compassionate, gentle, and understood what we were going through. She explained the process in depth and didn't proceed until we were ready. He died peacefully laying in his favorite spot with my wife and I comforting him. He was the most loving dog I've ever known and it was soooo important that his final moments reflected how much he was loved. Dr. Christine allowed that to happen. He had a peaceful, loving death. Thank you!!!! I wholeheartedly encourage anyone struggling with the end to consider Dr. Christina and CodaPet. We chose cremation and received his ashes back in a beautiful box with a fantastic paw print.
Saying goodbye to our Gigie was one of our hardest decisions we had to make. We did not want to see her go. She brought a lot of love to us and lived like a queen. We scheduled and cancelled several times with Dr. Christina and she was always very understanding and took the time to talk with us about the decision we had to make. During the time we said our goodbyes she was so kind and caring and Gigie was at ease that she was in her home surrounded by the people that loved her. It has taken us a few weeks to be able to write this but felt that it was important to let everyone know how much we appreciate Dr. Christina and feel blessed to have her during that difficult period.

Makes me wonder if one of reasons losing a furry family member is so different from the loss of a human member is the way we communicate. With animals, it's heavily emotion whether words or actions and with humans, it's logic, emotion, words and action making it a little easier (?) to communicate...Needless to say, just coming to the decision no words can describe what it takes. The word "euthanasia" has a heavy connotation and weight so instead, peaceful release in a safe space. The love of my life had been with me 19 years and coming to the decision to provide his release, well, nothing can describe that in words. Dr. Christina was kind, showed my baby respect and attempted to offer some solace. I was able to release my baby, in my arms, thanks to Dr. Christina.

Christina was amazing to say the least. She began by sitting down with Tazz and offering her treats to break Tazz’s nervousness with a stranger in her room. Christiana not only comforted Tazz, but us as well with her caring demeanor. She spoke softly and spent time with us …no hurry . Afterwards she wrapped Tazz in a blanket and carried her to her suv which had a nice bed to put her in. About a week later Christina personally brought Tess’s ashes to us. She also followed up with a very nice card. Where do I start? Dr Christina is truly a phenomenal human and was absolutely the Dr I needed to assist me with saying goodbye to my girl. She communicated with me throughout the day and when I felt the shift in my dog, I sent her a video of her breathing and Dr Christina stopped what she was doing (at night I might add), and came to help my girl cross the rainbow bridge, so she didn’t have to suffer throughout the night. I truly couldn’t have asked for a sweeter, kinder person to help me through the whole process.

This was my first time using an in home euthanasia vet, and I will say I will definitely use their services again for our other babies when it is their time. It was the best experience I could ever ask for. Dr Christina was just amazing, she was so kind and very sweet with the whole experience. We had in home pet euthanasia with Dr. Christina Vernon on 11-19-24. This was so hard to do, but having it done in our own home where our Last was most comfortable and our other dog can understand and say goodbye to his buddy. Dr Vernon was absolutely amazing, so calm, sweet, understanding and had a lot of patience. Explained everything very well and was just a beautiful person!

No one ever wants to go through this, I wouldn't have done it any other way. I really loved that my baby was able to leave this Earth at home in his own bed without the added stress of going to the vet office. I would highly recommend Dr. Christina
Dr. Vernon is wonderful and kind. We’ve unfortunately had to put two of our puppies down within the last few months and both times Dr. Vernon was here to assist us. Staying at home for euthanasia for our two dogs was the best decision we could have made. We highly recommend Dr. Vernon for her professionalism, compassion and care.
Dr. Christina Vernon was wonderful! She arrived on time and was very kind and compassionate. She was thorough when examining my kitty and kept me informed as to the process. She allowed me to spend as much time as I wanted with my sweet kitty to say goodbye. I’m so grateful to have been able to hold my baby girl as she transitioned over the rainbow bridge.
We can’t say enough about the compassion Dr Vernon showed our girl, Aja. She made a very difficult and sensitive situation much easier to handle for us and our fur baby. Although this wasn’t the first time experiencing this, she explained everything to us and gave us plenty of time to say our good byes.
Dr. Christina was incredible!! She was so patient, kind, and respectful of our family during a very difficult time for us. She has a very calm and soothing demeanor and gave us all the time we needed with our dog! I would highly recommend her!

It was beyond heartbreaking for me to say goodbye to my forever friend, Lola. We had to put one of our babies down yesterday. He was my sons dog since he was 8. Dr. Christina Vernon was absolutely amazing. She answered all of our questions and helped us through the difficult time. She made me feel better knowing that Zeus was at home surrounded by his family. Dr Christine came into our lives on the 8th of August of this year. Our little girl Missy had declining for quite some time and for her well being we decided it was time for her to cross over to be wilth her brother Tater. She was 3 1/2 lbs of teacup Maltipoo love and had live a good life of 18 1/2 years. The call was made the clinic to have someone come to the house and be with Missy and help her on the journey she was taking. Dr. Christine arrived on Friday and sat with us and talked about what was going to happen and the process. She picked up Missy too let her know who was here as Missy was both blind and deaf. Missy was very calm and showed no signes of stress or aggitatlion. Dr Christine was so loving and caring when she administered the drugs and we knew Missy felt this. Dr. Vernon was compassionate and genuinely cared about me and the comfort of my Pepper. I am so thankful that she was able and available to come to my home. Pepper would he so anxious having to go to the groomer or vet and to have her final day to be at home not scared and made comfortable gives me comfort and peace. There is more that I could say but it is still hard. I would recommend codapet and Dr. Vernon, such a wonderful and caring person.
This was my first experience having to put a pet down. Dr.Christina V. was so patient and kind. She had such calming Ora about her! It was so peaceful for my Daisy may. During one of the most difficult times for our family, Dr. Vernon could not have been more professional, sympathetic and sincere. Christina was absolutely wonderful, caring , compassionate- I could go on and on. She walked us thru everything, made sure we understood what was to happen and answered any and all questions. One of the best decisions we’ve made to have this happen in the comfort of our home for our special boy!
She was very kind and patient, made sure we were ready and our baby son Knives was comfortable. It was a peaceful experience for something so sad, and she gave us some fur and whiskers to keep. It was the best way to send my son off.
She was absolutely the very best❤️ She was so calm and kind and thoughtful, Rico was so calm when she just came into the room. He was so comfortable with her being there. I’ve had other animals put down at my house by other vets, she was the most kind and thoughtful and Caring in this whole, very sad experience. Dr. Vernon assisted us in making the hardest decision we’ve had to make - knowing the time to assist our fuzzy friend to peacefully pass away before he had additional pain and suffering. She was kind and compassionate, and was wonderful to our dog.
Dr. Vernon has such an incredible gift and my family and I are lucky that she has been with us for two very difficult times (euthanizing our dogs). Dr. Vernon could not have been any kinder or more understanding at such a difficult time. My cat had issues with the whole world and Dr. Vernon was able to meet our needs for decreased interaction. My cat passed peacefully in my arms in her own spot in our home. She met Tabitha’s needs.
Dr Christina was such a compassionate doctor. She could clearly see our baby girl Lyla was suffering and felt the pain we were experiencing. She made every step of the journey possible for us to endure. The after care we received was by far more then words could describe. When she brought our baby back home as we crumbled in tears she comforted us. We were so overwhelmed as we shared where we took her for a final rest. A place near and dear to our heart. She now overlooks Napa Vallet in Penngrove where she runs free with the cows, turkeys, deer and llamas. Out Lyla will be missed but she made our decision for home end of life bearable. Thank you from the bottom of our souls.
Christina was amazing. This isn’t an easy job but she made us and Madi feel as comfortable as we all could be. She was so mindful, thoughtful and caring. Dr Vernon was incredible. Her compassion and patience while we went through our loss has been exceptional. It’s not an easy thing to go through and she was with us from the start and checked up on us after, even providing coloring books for our kids to help cope with their loss. Dr. Christina was gentle and very clear in explaining how the procedure would proceed including the medications and how they would affect Georgie. When the time was right she injected the final med and Georgie passed without pain. Thank you for the care you provide to owners and pets.

This was our second time using codapet sadly. However she is a very caring vet and when it is time for our other fur babies. We will use codapet again.
She was so kind and sweet and asked about my dog Capone and what was going on with him. She was even able to fit as in a day earlier as he seemed to be declining so much quicker then I hoped. She walked us thru the process of how everything was going to happen. She took care of my Capone and felt very secure with her handling him after his passing. She sent texts a couple days later checking in on me and my family and how we were doing as well as received a card in the mail. She brought his ashes home about a week later. In this very hard and sad time, I appreciate all the warm heartfelt support she provided.
