Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Fresno, CA
Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed
We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee
Other Consideration
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.
Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.
FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

I had to have my beloved maltese , Stella, put down when her inoperable cancerous tumor began bleeding. Heartbreaking decision to make, to decide it is time. She let me know. She was acting very nervous the night before. I knew something was wrong. Then all my cats and other dog just sat around her in bed. They already knew.... When she started bleeding I called Codapet and made an appointment for the next morning with Dr. Sarah Clem. She arrived on time. She was very patient. Even listened to all my silly stories. Gave Stella an injection to make her sleepy. Stella fell asleep in my arms lying on the sofa. She was snoring loudly when Dr. Clem, Sarah now, asked if I was ready. Stella got another injection. She was still snoring...and then she wasn't. So quietly. Sarah listened to Stella's heart, looked at me and shook her head. It was over. She was buried in the back yard under a beautiful little memorial. I can't recommend b this service enough. No scary trip to the vet. Just calm, loving nap at home. I miss her terribly. That is going to take time and probably a new pup in the future. She was the best....
Dr. Dawn was very responsive to our questions and needs. When she arrived she was very kind and professional. She greet us and our dog Phoebe with the upmost respect. During the whole process she was very gentle and explained every step ahead of time. She put us and our dog at ease and made the whole process very dignified. We appreciate everything Dr. Dawn did to make a very sad and painful experience as pleasant as it could be. Thank you CodaPet and Dr. Dawn.
Dr. Sarah Clem helped us through one of the hardest moments our family has faced — saying goodbye to our beloved dog, Dexter. From the moment she arrived, she brought a sense of calm, compassion, and professionalism that immediately put us at ease. She never rushed the process and allowed us the time and space we needed. Dr. Clem was incredibly gentle and caring with Dexter, treating him with such dignity and kindness. What meant the most to us was how she took the time to ask thoughtful questions about Dexter’s life and our favorite memories with him. Those moments helped shift the focus from the pain of the goodbye to remembering the joy he brought to our family. Her empathy and warmth made an incredibly difficult experience feel peaceful and meaningful. We are so grateful for the care she provided Dexter and the comfort she gave our family. I truly cannot thank her enough.
I am so grateful to Dr. Alexander for being with my family on the worst day in any pet parent's life. Her compassion and care to detail were priceless to us. To those of you considering in home pet euthanasia, I would highly recommend it. Our boy passed in his home with his family in his bed and not on a cold floor at a clinic.
Dr Sarah was very kind and she asked about our dog and the life she lived while she as here. She was warm and did not hurry us to say good bye. Highly recommend 😀
We recently had to put down our cat of almost 14 years. We couldn't have asked for a better way for her to pass. Dr. Mumm was very transparent and professional about the process and took her time. She went above and beyond with her kindness by and even made some keepsakes. We recommend her to anyone that has to make this difficult decision. We are so thankful that she helped our cat pass as peaceful as possible in a spot were she was calm and comfortable.
